Veteran’s Assistance Dogs are specially trained to assist veterans with combat-related injuries and service-related Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.  Some tasks Veteran’s Assistance Dogs provide to their partners include:

  • Assistance adjusting back to society
  • Retrieving medication and a drink to take medication
  • Calling for help on a K9 rescue phone
  • Checking the house for hidden intruders
  • Turning on lights before a veteran enters a house
  • Flashback & night terror interruption
  • Providing tactile stimulation

Veteran Service Dogs may also provide assistance with mobility and hearing alert tasks.
